In Tampa, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Florida, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach HYPHEN Coffee at (813) 648-0149; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Tampa peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. What an amazing new gem, super modern, cafe. Atmosphere amazing. The vibe, music, cute/nice, interior design, the details, the cleanliness and organization 10/10. Same attention to detail with food. Coffee is amazing. Staff amazing; friendly, willing to help and just chat. Only thing is food portions may be small but we're not heavy breakfast eaters - we thought it great.

Tattoos next door yes. Talk about a creative use of space Hyphen does it very well. The cafe decor blends into what a tattoo studio coffee bar would look like in your mind. Definitely a very creative use of the space. The matcha drink we ordered had a nice fizz to it. The barista definitely knows what he is doing and very much collaborative in terms of taking suggestions on board. Must visit. This could be a special place if it receives proper support.

From the gorgeous presentation to the incredible taste, everything was perfect. Every drink had its own unique flavor, and you can tell they put care into every cup. Cozy vibes, friendly service, and drinks that are as photogenic as they are delicious. Definitely one of my favorite cafΓ©s!

Not gonna lie, I was a little wary of trying out Hyphen because it was so new but we were looking for coffee on the way to the zoo and decided to try it out. It's rather unassuming from the looks of it on the outside, but it is beautiful on the inside! It is unlike any other coffee shop I have ever seen. Besides being connected to a tattoo parlor, which is actually fairly well separated, it is well-appointed and the decor makes you feel like you stepped into a cool grotto that just happens to serve great coffee. There are several sofas for lounging and some workstations. The owner was also very friendly and helpful with the menu. They're still getting their menu and branded cups ready for their grand opening, but that shouldn't stop you from trying it out before then! They have an app for ordering, and there are many options available. I ended up going with iced drinks, one a mocha with caramel cold foam, and the other a vanilla latte with ube cold foam. Both were SO good. They do also have dairy-free options, oat and almond milks for anyone not wanting dairy. We also got the guava chicharon pastry, which was sweet and crispy. The signature drinks on their app looked interesting, a

I stopped by this new local coffee shop and was genuinely impressed. If you’re looking for one of the best coffee shops in the area, this place deserves to be on your list. The coffee is excellent, with high-quality espresso, smooth lattes, and flavorful specialty drinks that taste like they’re made by people who truly care about coffee. The baristas were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. The atmosphere is bright, clean, cozy, and perfect whether you’re meeting friends, working remotely, studying, or just relaxing with a great cup of coffee. They also have a great selection of fresh food and pastries, making it an easy choice for breakfast or an afternoon coffee break. I love supporting locally owned small businesses, and this is exactly the kind of neighborhood coffee shop our community needs. Great customer service, beautiful space, delicious coffee, and attention to detail from start to finish. Highly recommend checking them out if you’re searching for specialty coffee, espresso drinks, breakfast, pastries, or a comfortable cafΓ© to work or study. I’ll definitely be back!
